Facilities
Enter our Center and you will see what we mean. With furnishings appropriate to those entrusted with leadership responsibilities, the Center has ten meeting rooms/classrooms outfitted with state-of-the-art technology and connected to the world by wireless access to the Web. The three largest rooms (two of which are tiered) have Smart Boards, ceiling microphones, high-definition video conferencing, and the ability to “capture” everything that is said or written on the whiteboards; the other rooms have Smart Boards and videoconferencing via a “roll-about” unit . Captured sessions are hosted on Drexel's servers and available on a playlist for asynchronous watching or podcasting. Remote students can participate and collaborate in classes through the use of web-based live classroom tools or via standards-based video conferencing.
Designed for Success
Drexel's graduate degrees are designed for working adults. Almost all of our courses begin at or after 6:00 pm on Mondays through Thursday so that no time needs to be taken from work. (A few programs are taught in an executive, Friday-Saturday format.) If their parents or children require our students to be home or their jobs require that they be traveling, the Center's technology helps make it possible for them not to miss a class. Technology support is available 24/7 from Drexel employees in Sacramento or Philadelphia. And because the entire University is committed to the success of our Sacramento Campus, our faculty are almost always accessible to our students – in person, by phone or videoconference, or on e-mail, at times that work for the student who works.
