About Anna Maria College

Anna Maria College is a four-year, private, co-ed, Catholic, liberal arts institution accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. Founded by the Sisters of Saint Anne in 1946, the College is located on a beautiful 192-acre campus in Paxton, MA minutes from Worcester, MA. AMC provides quality programs that integrate liberal education and professional preparation that is committed to the fundamental value of liberal arts and sciences education rooted in the traditions of the Sisters of Saint Anne.

AMC is a close-knit community with small class sizes that allow for mentor relationships to develop between faculty members and students. Freshman and sophomore classes generally have between 15 and 20 students; some upper-level classes have as few as five students. Faculty members teach and advise students based on their knowledge of each person as an individual, and classes are never taught by graduate assistants.

Program/Degree Details

  • Masters in Public Administration
The AMC Masters in Public Administration (MPA) is designed to train leaders in the management of non profit and government programs. The course of study provides the close support of an excellent liberal arts college with the rigor of a challenging graduate program. Students will come away from the program with excellent skills in public administration and a specialization in an area of public service that will set them apart from others.
 
For recent college graduates:
The MPA can be completed in 14 courses including management of non-profit organizations, quantitative analysis and leadership. Students would also design a field application course and select four courses in an area of professional specialization of their choice.
 
For college graduates with seven or more years of work experience:
The MPA can be completed with10 courses including management of non-profit organizations, quantitative analysis and leadership, plus four courses in an area of professional specialization of their choice.
